Free Will

Freshman year of high school my English teacher, Mr. Pyzik, would give us writing prompts for a blog he had us make. These prompts would correlate with the theme we were studying. I remember being fascinated with the theme free will or destiny? I believe in free will. Everyone makes their own choices, and life decisions. No one has a Jiminy Cricket whispering in their ear telling them what to do. However, I’m not saying that destiny does not exist at all. I very much agree with the metaphor life is like a game of cards. That game, is destiny, but the choices that you make in playing those cards is your own free will. Destiny provides an opportunity and it is up to us to make the best of that opportunity.
